The Demonic Announcer is Samantha Maxis with a demon voice that announces power-ups, hellhounds, and teddy bears on all maps except the World at War version of Nacht der Untoten. From Moon, upon completion of the Easter Egg, and beyond, Edward Richtofen becomes the announcer. In Black Ops 2 Zombies, if the player has completed Ludvig Maxis' sides to Green Run, Die Rise and Buried's Easter Eggs, and placed the NavCard in their respective tables, he will take over as the Demonic Announcer.

Trivia Edit

  • On the PS3 version, the voice is much deeper and serious than on the PC and Xbox 360.
  • In Black Ops, including the updated versions of the original Zombie maps, the voice is more masculine and deeper, bearing a resemblance to Tank Dempsey.
  • Sometimes on Kino Der Toten when a Carpenter is retrieved by Nikolai, he will say what sounds like "Thank you, disembodied girl voice." meaning that the voice is a distorted version of Samantha's voice.
  • Doctor Richtofen sometimes says "A gift from Sam? But why?!" when picking up a Max Ammo during Kino der Toten, further proving its Samantha.
  • In Moon, when Richtofen switches bodies with Samantha, Richtofen becomes the new demonic announcer.
  • In Black Ops 2, if completing the easter eggs of the maps in Maxis' favor, he will trap Richtofen in a zombies body, and become the new announcer.
