"If I say you're dead, you really oughtta just lay down."
―Michael Rooker.

Michael Rooker is one of the survivor characters that appear in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Nazi Zombies map Call of the Dead. His point counter color is green, which is shared with Edward Richtofen and Fidel Castro.

He was most famous for his role of Merle Dixon, in the AMC television series The Walking Dead. He agreed to star in George Romero's film Call of the Dead, along with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Danny Trejo and Robert Englund. The film was based on research made of Group 935's experiments conducted with Element 115 decades ago. While filming, George Romero was taken away and killed by a real zombie, reanimating him. Zombies began reanimating rapidly at the Siberian outpost, causing the four celebrities to band together and fight off the hordes of undead. He, along with the other actors, came across Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo trapped inside a locked room. Richtofen asked for their help in obtaining the golden rod and fixing the teleporter. In return, Richtofen gave them the WunderWaffe DG2 to help fight off the zombies. He along with the other celebrities and crew were eventually killed by zombies.

Trivia[]

  • He hates Sarah Michelle Gellar, as being described by some of his quotes much like Tank Dempsey and Edward Richtofen.
  • His favorite weapon seems to be the Scavenger.
  • On the poster of Call of the Dead, he uses an AK-47. However, the weapon doesn't appear in Zombies mode.

  • In the opening cinematic, he fires three shots without reloading from the double barrel shotgun.
  • Michael Rooker played Merle Dixon in the TV show The Walking Dead, which could be a reason for him being a character in the map.
