It is an effective weapon for the early rounds, but as rounds progress, its small magazine, low carrying capacity, and low power often become a problem. The MPL has a 24-round magazine in Nazi Zombies. In early rounds (4-8), it is a good choice because of its low damage per bullet, which can result in many points being earned quickly. In the early rounds, it can be a semi-effective window guarding weapon, as simply spraying across the zombies that are trying to break in will no doubt shred them with little effort. Past Round 10, it should be traded in for something more effective or Pack-a-Punched.
The MPL-LF is the Pack-a-Punch version. It sports a Red Dot Sight with a random recticle and lens color. It is a great point weapon and if you train and get head shots will not only kill zombies very fast, but get you enough points to rebuy ammo. This is a great weapon if you are using the MPL room strategy on Ascension which puts the wall weapon right in front of your nose, perfect for buying ammo when you have a train behind you and are bringing them around the area. The high ROF(rate of fire) makes this weapon great for shooting into a hoard as it can get all its damage out quickly and let you keep moving and training, the tight hip fire and SMG speed boost only strengthen its training capabilities.
