The S12 is a semi-automatic shotgun, available out of the Mystery Box for 950 points. It isn't very effective, and it takes multiple shots to kill a zombie as early as round 10. It has 40 rounds, with 10 per magazine, making it very easy to run out of ammo. It's reload speed is very long, which can also be a hassle, and this gun is not recommended, unless combined with Double Tap. Even then, it isn't that good.
When Pack-A-Punched, it becomes the Synthetic Dozen and has the same magazine size, but 50 in reserve. It also has an increase in damage. It is one-shot kill up until around round 18 when combined with Double Tap, and you're close up with the zombies. This weapon still is not recommended. It can also gain Fast Mag when Pack-A-Punched for a second time.
